Kevin Zambrano is a Burbank native and BFA graduate from CalArts. During his time at school, Kevin choreographed and directed three full-length shows. The first premiered as part of the acting school’s New Works Festival, the second earned him the CalArts’ Interdisciplinary Grant Award and the third was an hour-length immersive solo, performed by Kevin, premiering at REDCAT in Los Angeles. He has studied dance globally at the Korean National University of the Arts in Seoul and the Centre national de la danse in Paris, under Ralph Lemon and Damien Jalet. While overseas, Kevin presented his choreographic work at the Seoul International Choreography Festival in Korea and at the Henny Jurriens Solo Concert in Amsterdam. In Los Angeles, he has worked with a plethora of LA based dance companies including: WeWolf, No(one)Arthouse, TL Collective, Szalt, Rosanna Gamson World/Wide, Fabe and Borderline Movement. In addition Kevin has performed for artists Charli XCX and Dorian Electra, as a chimney sweep in the Disneyland Parade and in the dance film “Metatronia” by Solange Knowles. He has assisted artists Bret Easterling of the Israeli company Batsheva, Paris based choreographers Gerard and Kelly and CalArts Faculty Julie Bour. He has most recently joined the ensemble of the Broadway revival of West Side Story.
