Whitney Wiggins was born in Laurel, MD in 1990. Whitney says that her mother influenced her to start dancing because of her natural ability to perform. At the age of seven she started her dance training at La Mason De La Danse were she trained until she was fifteen. At fifteen Whitney started attending the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington DC, where she trained for two years. At the age of seventeen Whitney moved to Lynchburg, VA where she attended Virginia School of the Arts. After graduating from VSA Whitney moved to New York where she would attend the Alvin Ailey School for the next three years. One year after Whitney graduated from the Ailey School she randomly decided to attend the Brooklyn Nets dance team audition, and after 400 women and three days of intense dancing she booked her first big job dancing with the Brooklyn Nets. Whitney continues to stay focused on what she does. Her favorite saying is “Get Er Done” because if the work is done to its best then you will get the best results.
