Born and raised in Staten Island NY, Shannon’s dance life began the day she was born to her mother who was a professional Broadway dancer. She started her dance training at her mother’s dance studio competing along the east coast along with booking jobs in modeling and acting at a young age.
Shannon’s training was always versatile although she favored hip-hop. It wasn’t until she was accepted into the prestige Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts aka “The Fame School” that she found a love for ballet. At that time, her technical training became serious and she obtained all the necessary tools to take her dancing to the next level. At LaGuardia she rigorously trained in ballet, Graham, Horton, jazz, tap, and choreography.
Her first professional dance job was at the age of 10 years old when she became a part of the N.J. Nets Kids dance team, which she was on for four years. Life for her has come full circle with her once again being a part of the Nets association as a Brooklynette. By being a part of the team, Shannon gets the opportunity to frequently learn from the top choreographers in the industry.
Shannon is constantly pushing herself to grow and find new unique ways to explore movement. She loves to be inspired by anything different and she aims to stay versatile by incorporating various styles of dance into her technique. She is always up for a challenge!
Outside of performing Shannon loves photography, videography, piano, working out, kayaking, cooking, and traveling!
