Sangeetha (Sang) Santhebennur is a multidisciplinary artist from Franklin Township, New Jersey. As a loud and energetic kid, her parents threw her into many different classes and disciplines to see where she could share this energy in a positive way. Dance, music, and theater were always synonymous to Sang’s persona, and the passion sparked from those early childhood days only grew stronger as she grew older. Her training initially began at Rhythmic Arts Dance and Music Center, exploring various Indian and fusion dance styles. Through her public school she was introduced to different styles like hip-hop, contemporary, musical theater, and Jersey Club. As she transitioned into college at Rutgers University, the urge to train led her to join Raps Dance Troupe (RDT) where she was able to train in various foundational hip-hop styles and expand her love for movement, while competing with her team along the East Coast and exploring her own choreography.
Sang is also passionate singer, with about 10 years of training in Carnatic (South Indian) music, and now loves to sing any genre. She really enjoys musical theater, acting, running, and a newfound passion in modeling as well. As a recent Magna Cum Laude graduate from Rutgers Business School, she aims to make her lifetime passions a reality of using her art to inspire.
Without the support of her family and friends, good faith, and self-love, Sang could not picture herself where she is today- chasing those dreams that were once just dreams. Whether she’s singing, dancing, modeling- performing is when you can find Sang being her most truthful self.
