Born and raised in New York, Julian Laro began dancing at the age of 18 in Queens based dance crew, World Class Dancers. After the group disbanded in 2010, Julian took his career into his own hands and set out to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Music Management from Baruch College while working part-time as a Hip-Hop dance instructor in various dance schools/studios on Staten Island and Brooklyn. His time as an instructor allowed him to develop skills and training he had not previously received in his dance crew and granted him the opportunity to branch out. Influenced by choreographers such as Laurianne Gibson, Luam, Rhapsody James, and Jose ‘BoyBoi’ Tena, Julian has created a broad collection of unique and original choreography that varies in form and reflect his passion. In 2014, he received the "Young Choreographer" award at Dance America competition as well as placing 1st overall with his outstanding choreography at Dance Xplosion competition.
In a short period of time, Julian has gone on to accomplish many career endeavors. Professionally, he has danced in three time award winning Sundance Film Festival movie “New Media” .
