Julia Hemp is from Louisville, Colorado, and spreads Rocky Mountain sunshine wherever she goes! Originally a competitive gymnast, she started taking dance classes at age ten and has never stopped since. She attended Denver School of the Arts high school as a theater major, but took singing and dancing lessons any chance she could. Ms. Hemp then made her away to the east coast to attend Penn State University for a BFA in Musical Theater, and graduated Cum Laude. She now resides in NYC and is continuing her training to be an active and well-rounded member in the industry.
Recent performance credits include: Lois/Bianca in Kiss Me Kate at Arts Center of Coastal Carolina; Lily St. Regis in Annie at Forestburgh Playhouse; Turn Back O' Man Soloist in Godspell and Graziella in West Side Story at New London Barn Playhouse; and Dainty June in Gypsy at Sharon Playhouse.
Julia loves playing guitar, sketching, and hiking up 14,000 foot mountains. Her favorite saying is “Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.” – Mother Teresa
