Gabriel Alvarez


Born in the Dominican Republic, Gabriel's passion for the arts started at an early age. In 2005, at the age of fifteen, he discovered breakdancing, the discipline that inspired him to pursue a career in dance. His love for learning further led him to the discovery of the different styles contemporary, ballet, house dance, commercial hip-hop and various latin styles. Gabriel works both commercially and theatrically, and has toured nationally and internationally with various groups and artists. His commercial performance and tour credits include; Kurtis Blow Russian Tour, Freestyle Paraguay Tour as a US Diplomat and directed by the US Embassy, a Herschel Supply Co 2015 bag commercial, the US Open main commercial (2014), Canon Vixia mini commercial (2013), Panasonic SC-HC35 compact stereo commercial (2013), MTV “The Seven” Reel commercial (2012), and many Spinnin Records and other artist’s Music Videos and commercials including the recently released hit from Afrojack & Martin Garrix “Turn up the speakers”. Theatrically he has performed all over the USA in Theatres including the Apollo, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Jacobs Pillow and for events like the TED conference. He also dances regularly for companies like MTV, Pepsi, Macy's, and for the New York City based Broadway theater/Bus-Tour in their show “The Ride." After attaining his business degree in 2013, Gabriel dedicates his education to his dance career, and to help other fellow dancers.
