Carissa

Carissa was born and raised in Tampa Bay, Florida. She started dancing at the age of 3. Her amazing mother put her in dance class as soon as she was potty trained and she never stopped dancing! Her first performance job was on the beloved children’s show: Barney. Her other childhood credits include modeling for Kodak, Lands End, Child’s World, Mosi, The Cleveland Indians, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.Right after graduating high school she moved to New York City to attend The American Musical and Dramatic Academy where she studied Musical Theater.

Carissa had the life long dream of becoming a Radio City Rockette. She would spend her summers attending the Rockette Summer Intensive and studied the style religiously. In 2013 her dream came true!  She became a Radio City Rockette!!! After her journey with the Rockettes, she worked as Dance Captain on the National Tour of Guys and Dolls, choreographed by Bob Richard. She then had the incredible honor performing as a lead dancer in the First National Tour of Bullets Over Broadway, Directed and choreographed by the legendary Susan Stroman/Jeff Whitting.

Carissa has also been seen singing and dancing in “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” (Emmy Nominated), NBC’s “Upfronts”, Saturday Night LIVE, “The Burlesque Show” at the Borgata in Atlantic City, The Producers at The Argyle Theater in Long Island, New York Fashion Week,  and the premier of Broadway Christmas Wonderful in Tokyo. In addition to dancing Carissa has modeled for DESIGUAL, Loulette Bridal & Lingerie, Jack Daniels, and Tryon Entertainment. Carissa can also be seen in the National Commercial for Zips Dry-Cleaning!

In her free time she loves to cook Sunday Italian dinner, visit the beach, craft, travel to unexplored places and discover new spots in New York City. Favorite Quote: “Something big is just around the corner, I know it.” -Mom
