Monica Rosenblatt

Monica

Monica is no stranger to the stage. Born & raised in the farmlands of Harford County, Maryland, Monica's love for music and theater started at the ripe age of 4. But her debut as Christina Aguilera at her 5th birthday party was just the beginning for Monica.

Life lead Monica to Emerson College in Boston, MA where she graduated with her BFA in Musical Theatre. In college some of Monica’s favorite roles were Aunt Sponge in Pasek & Paul’s “James & The Giant Peach” and Effy Krayneck in “The Spitfire Grill”. Monica is also the golden ticket winner of The American Idol Experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios where she sang “Listen” from Dreamgirls. Most recently, Monica was cast in a brand new musical “Songs For Slutty Girls”, detailing the trial and error of being a grown woman in the ever changing, ever difficult to read, millennial dating scene. You can also always catch Monica finding somewhere new in the city to sing and hone her skills.

She loves to find a new harmony in every song she hears, and lives to find the places that music can take you. Monica can probably chalk her appreciation for music up to her parents, who have hardly ever missed a New Orleans Jazz Fest. Monica grew up singing along to her dad’s old records while he accompanied on one of his 14 instruments.

Monica is a member of the Equity Candidacy Membership program, and made the big move to New York City to pursue her dreams. She is signed to Bloc Agency for Theatre/TV/Film/Commercial and is always striving to be her best, with lots of self care along the way.
