I was born in Teaneck, NJ while my parents were working as opera singers in NYC and raised in Cape Girardeau, MO where I played my first title role of the "Elephant's Child" in 6th grade. After high school I moved to Kansas City, MO where I got my Bachelor of Music in vocal performance. One of my most dynamic teachers there was the late Molly Jessup who told me, "You've got a very nice voice, but I don't care. No one cares. You have to make me care." Which I still tell myself on a regular basis. I stayed in Kansas City for two years working regionally and enjoying the craft beer, biking, and beautiful theatre until I moved to Michigan to get my Master of Fine Arts in acting from Michigan State University where I worked as an Instructor while taking classes and performing. I love traveling and seeing new things, cooking (but never from recipes), and reading fiction novels.
