Michael was born in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and inherited his passion for performing from his parents (both former performers). He started training in dance at age 3, the same year he performed in his first show directed by his father. Michael continued his training by going to Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he was also given the opportunity to perform in lots of different forms, including dance concerts and many musicals. During his senior year Michael travelled to New York in January to audition for the International Tour of Cinderella starring Lea Salonga. Michael's first big job took him to Asia for seven and a half months and only confirmed his love for theatre. After returning Michael did several regional jobs leading up to working for Goodspeed Opera House and receiving his Equity card for being a Swing in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum. With Equity card in hand Michael moved to New York and nine months later started rehearsals for the National Tour of Billy Elliot, a production for which he would eventually become the Dance Captain. Michael has performed at Ogunquit Playhouse, Maine State Music Theatre, Goodspeed Opera House, Fulton Opera House, The MUNY, Riverside Theatre as well as all across the country and Asia. Outside of theatre Michael's interests include cooking and travel.
