Lipica Shah

Lipica was born in a small town in Indiana and raised in a small town in New Jersey, where for over a decade she studied classical singing technique at Westminster Conservatory before earning a BFA at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She’s since been splashed head-to-toe in city puddle water by a taxi so she definitely considers herself a New Yorker now!

Lipica thrives on collaborative work on both stage and screen with a special passion for helping develop new plays. She has originated roles in world premieres at Manhattan Theatre Club, The New Group, California Shakespeare Theater, American Conservatory Theater, and Mixed Blood Theatre Company, among others.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking (especially the eating part), doing crossword puzzles in pen, lighting one-match campfires, and running for inordinate amounts of time outdoors. She’s on the Leadership Team of Kalakars: A South Asian Film Institute, as well as a National Volunteer Partner for Girl Scouts of the USA. Proud member: AEA and SAG-AFTRA.
