Leah Read

Leah Read was born and raised in the small town of Ardmore, Oklahoma. She grew up listening to a variety of classics from Jimi Hendrix to Judy Garland and soon discovered her passion for performing. She began training at the age of eight, and after a year sharpening her acting craft at Oklahoma City University, moved to New York—where she would train at Pace University studying Commercial Dance. Through opportunities provided through Pace, Leah has performed coast-to-coast in companies associated with Broadway Dance Center and The Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles. Leah is particularly fond of experiences she has gleaned through working with choreographers such as Ricky Hinds, Michael Mindlin, Jess Hendricks, and served as dance captain for Andy Blankenbuehler through the master series at Pace..   Through years of training she has become a proficient soloist, partner, and ensemble dancer in all styles of dance.  Leah is excited to continue her love of performing through future projects in the facets of the industry.
