Jorge Paniagua

Jorge Paniagua was born in California but ended up growing up in Costa Rica until about the age of twelve. The Paniagua’s felt that the United States would provide more opportunity for their twin boys in the upcoming future. Having primarily been an athlete, Shakespeare seemed out of place for Jorge, but with the right guidance, it seemed to be the right home. Patty Duke Pearce saw raw talent in him and encouraged him to pursue this career even further. This led Jorge to Southern Oregon University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in acting.
Following graduation, Jorge performed at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Twelfth Night with the direction of Darko Tresnjak as Valentine/ 2nd Officer and understudying for The Merchant of Venice directed by Bill Rauch. With his continued pursuit in his career as an actor, he uprooted his West Coast life and moved to New York City. Since his move, he’s appeared in Hamlet, Richard III, Bastards Blood, and The Full Monty as well as some showcases film projects and TV spots. “Put your heart in everything you do, and if you can’t, you shouldn’t be doing it.” This is what Jorge lives by. His heart continues to push him towards acting with alternatives passing him by because nothing seems to fill him like the arts do. If not acting, Jorge can be seen personal training clients at PlushFitness or tending bar down at Brass Monkey with his little free time being spent building functional strength. “An actor’s body should be trained just as an athlete would. Both are physically and mentally demanding.”
Jorge sends his love and thanks to all his family and friends back home and all around who continue to support everything he does.
