Jeannie Moffitt

Jeannie is currently a New York-based actor, although she was "born weird" in Austin, TX. Labelled a misguided youth (troublemaker) in her freshman year, she quickly found her niche in the theatre department of her small-town high school. One lead role in "Zombie Prom" was all it took, and she was quickly pursuing theatre as her future career. After living in Houston for most of her life, she left her southern roots to attend The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University in St. Louis, MO. Favorite roles include Ilse (Spring Awakening), Regina (Rock of Ages), and Ida (HONK!). When she's not riffing her lungs out and re-adjusting her tights backstage, Jeannie loves hiking (hopes to tackle the Pacific Crest Trail in her lifetime), cooking, going to the movies, and reading non-fiction literature. Jeannie is currently in rehearsals for Dogfight with 5th Floor Theatre Company, and is thrilled to open at the Hudson Guild Theatre in mid-April.
