Nasir Chasse



Nasir Tareq Chassé, born in New York, New York, began performing as a dancer at the age of 10, when he booked his first job as a Knicks City Kids dancer. Although, he only spent a year on the team, he continued to dance, and began training at Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. While training there, he learned tap, ballet, african, latin, hip-hop, modern, and contemporary. Nasir has performed in the Puerto Rican Day Parade in NYC, for 3 consecutive years, performed in Chicago, New Orleans, Boston, and did a dance tour in Puerto Rico. Nasir also performed in the August 2018, New York Salsa Congress. In addition, at the age of 17, he began to choreograph hip hop routines, for the junior team there. Many people have helped influence his career, such as Erica Strubbe, Kristiana Brooks, Samantha Santiago, Alonzo Williams, Jona Biddle, Phil Wright, and Von B. Besides dancing and performing, I enjoy swimming, riding my bike, taking photos/videos, and hanging out with my friends. Through all this, he follows the saying “Train Yourself To Trust Yourself”.
