Morgan Marie

Morgan Marie was born and raised in Stone Mountain, GA. From the gentle age of 2 she was inspired by her churchs early ballet studies. She attended DeKalb Elementary School of the Arts then matriculated to DeKalb School of the Arts High School where she continued to study ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary and hip-hop. At DSA, she was a Drama Ensemble member. Morgan furthered her studies as a company member of nationally ranked DanceMakers of Atlanta. There she competed in national dance competitions like NYCDA, JUMP and Showstoppers training under notable choreographers like Cindy Salgado, Teddy Forance and Jason Parsons to name a few.

Morgans most influential training experience was under the direction of Freddie Hendricks Youth Ensemble of Atlanta (YEA) where she was empowered through the arts by performance learnings of the Apartheid in South Africa and the impact of HIV and AIDs. Arts in Education is very important to her as she believes studying the arts stimulates the mind and enhances thinking.

Morgan moved to Virginia to attend Hampton University where she became a member of the Terpsichorean Dance Company and Captain of Ebony Fire Marching Band Dance team. Morgan now resides in New York City where she is pursuing her purpose as a performer.

A quote that resonates with Morgan is, The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” – Pablo Picasso
