Lina Nunez

Lina Nunez is a New York City based dancer and model. Her interest in dancing began since adolescence, from watching and exploring music videos as she would try to learn the choreography. In her teens, as she was able to work, she explored her interest in dance classes of different styles. Lina realized her passion for dance and began to pursue her new profession. She began training professionally in different styles such as hip-hop, street jazz, contemporary, vogueing, femmology, ballet, salsa/mambo, bachata, zouk, and more. She trained in different places, such as Alvin Ailey, Peridance, Broadway Dance Center, and Dance Sport. Lina was granted the opportunity to work with great influences in the commercial industry such as Rhapsody James (in her Motivating Excellence program), Aisha Francis (What I Wish They Told Me), and Jessica Castro (Lipstick Diaries). She is best known for working with Ryan Heffington on H&M & Kenzo Fashion Show. She has collaborated with Torey Nelson and Sophie Beem of Parkwood entertainment for Vfiles Fashion week for AW16. On her down time from dance, Lina loves discovering and developing new skills. Aside from accomplishing her associates in Liberal Arts and Sciences, she is pursuing her bachelors in Psychology. She enjoys doing activities such as painting, sewing, and creating new garments, fashion designs, modeling, and traveling. A quote that represents Lina is, “Don’t forget to love yourself!”
She lives by this quote because she believes once you learn to value who you are as an individual, an artist you know not to settle for anything less than what you deserve or desire.
