Karina O'Gara

Karina is a well-rounded dancer, actress and performer, interested in many aspects of the creative and production industry. She grew up in New Jersey and started dancing at just 3 years old at the Princeton Ballet School. She was immersed in all things art from childbirth as she would follow her parents on tour with their Irish/folk band every weekend. After spending 14 years training extensively in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, acting and singing, she moved to New York to join Pace University’s BFA Commercial Dance Program. She will finish her degree in May 2020, and is grateful to have worked with choreographers and coaches such as Mandy Moore, Jennifer Hamilton and Caroline Liem in Los Angeles, and Dee Caspary, The Paul Taylor Dance Company, Rhonda Miller, Jessica Hendricks and more at Pace in NYC. Living in New York has allowed her many opportunities; she recently worked for Richard Branson’s company, Virgin Galactic, where she danced for commercial and live events for the launch of their new, Under Armor Spacesuit. Karina has studied from companies and schools all over the world; Hubbard Street in Chicago, Arts Umbrella in Vancouver, the Batsheva Dance Company in Israel, the Paris Marais Dance School in France and Orsolina 28 in Moncalvo, Italy, to name a few. She is so grateful for her family, friends and mentors who support her dreams. When she’s not at the barre or on stage, you can find her practicing tai chi, reading, or cooking with friends.
