Karina O'Gara

Karina grew up in New Jersey and started her dance journey at just 3 years old at the Princeton Ballet School. She was immersed in all things art from childbirth as her parents were always bringing her on tour with their band. After spending 14 years training extensively in jazz, musical theatre, hip-hop, contemporary, acting and singing, she moved to New York City to join Pace University’s BFA Commercial Dance Program. There she has had the opportunity to work with New York based choreographers such as Dee Caspary, Scott Jovovich, 10 Hairy Legs, Alexandra Damiani, Rhonda Miller, Jessica Hendricks and more.

As Karina has a true love for both classical training and commercial dance, she has travelled to learn from companies and schools all over the world. Most recently she has studied at Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago, Arts Umbrella in Vancouver, The Batsheva Dance Company in Israel and Orsolina 28 in Moncalvo, Italy!

During her last semester, Karina had the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles to work with incredible mentors, Mandy Moore, Jennifer Hamilton and Dominique Kelley (to name a few); an experience that certainly changed her life! While there, Karina had many opportunities for dance on film and was cast in Cherice Barton's Fosse tribute at the Soho House. Currently, Karina is thrilled to be back in New York pursuing her passions and chasing her dreams.
