Haruki Koyama



Haruki (丘山晴己) was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. He started performing at the age of three influenced by his father (Isaburoh Hanayagi) in the art of Kabuki and his mother (Kayoko Koyama) in the art of ballet.  Since then he has broadened his interest into other styles of dance such as contemporary, jazz, modern and commercial hip hop, as well as singing and acting.  When he was 14, he moved to the United States to become a professional dancer.

Haruki has been featured in several companies of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular (Arena Tour - Original Cast), Matthew Bourne's Dorian Gray (in the role of Doppelgänger) and the world tour of Man In The Mirror - The Michael Jackson Show. He has also appeared on TV shows such as Rachael Ray's Halloween Bash, MTV's Dance or Drop (at MTV’s Times Square Studios) and he also took part in the English reality TV show Dancing King, which was broadcast on the Discovery Channel. Haruki graduated with a BFA in Ballet from the University of the Arts.
