Ellena Takos

Ellena is a NYC native who has been dancing since the age of three. Ellena knew at a young age that she wanted to be a professional performer so she auditioned and was accepted to Tony Bennett's school, Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, as a dance major. She studied extensively in ballet, modern, jazz and musical theatre in school and continued to push herself outside of school as well by taking acting classes at The Neighborhood Playhouse and attending dance conventions such as The Pulse, Tremaine and Jump. After graduating with honors and an arts endorsed diploma Ellena went on to study medicine in college but quickly realized that she wanted to focus all of her attention and heart on performing. She began to train at Broadway Dance Center as a Professional Semester student taking classes and being mentored by some of the best choreographers and teachers around. Since making that giant leap of faith Ellena has succeeded in making dance her career and living her dreams! She has worked with SYTYCD's Ellenore Scott as a member of her company ELSCO Dance; worked in music videos, film, television, commercials and live performances with names such as Nicki Minaj, Mac Miller, Channing Tatum, Target and HBO and traveled as far as Japan to perform! Currently, Ellena is dancing (and drumming!) center court as a Brooklynettes dancer for the NBA's Brooklyn Nets! She also has a love for fitness and all things health and is a SoulCycle Instructor in Manhattan's Financial District and Brooklyn Heights.
