Celine Berthaud

Celine Berthaud was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. She began her formal dance training at the OrigiNation Cultural Arts Center at the tender age of 13. After a few weeks of training, she knew that dance was more than just a hobby. Celine began seeking out dance intensives that would diversify her technical abilities and fulfill her thirst to be the best dancer and artist that she could be.

She continued her training at the Boston Arts Academy and graduated in 2010. Celine furthered her studies by attending the Alvin Ailey School Summer Intensive, Earl Mosley Institute of the Arts, and the Contemporary Masters program at Steps on Broadway. She received the Professional Advancement in Dance award from The School at Jacob’s Pillow in 2009, participating in their first Hip Hop Continuum Program at the age of 16. Shortly after, she had the opportunity to perform on BET's 106 & Park with choreographer, Laurieann Gibson and for Hip-Hop Icon, LL Cool J. After high school, Celine attended George Mason University on scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor in the Fine Arts in 2014. As a member of the Mason Dance Company, Celine has been a featured soloist in works by guest artists such as Camille A. Brown, Kate Skarpetowska, and Robert Battle for her athleticism, grace, and ferocity on the main stage.

Since moving to New York City, Celine has expanded her dance training to cater to commercial work. She has trained under Luam Keflezgy (Rock the Industry), Jessica Castro (Lipstick Diaries), Galen Hooks (Behind the Audition) and Dana Foglia (NYC Heels Intensive). She has recently become a fitness trainer at Body By Simone providing both group and private sessions in cardio training and body conditioning in New York City. With her classical background, commercial training, and knowledge of body conditioning, Celine is excited to meld all of her worlds together as a member of BLOC Talent NYC!

Celine is forever grateful for her friends and family that encourage her to be the best version of herself everyday.
