Brittney Brown

Brittney was born in Benton Harbor, MI where she spent her teenage years singing, dancing, and cheerleading. In 2004, she became the first African-American from her community to hold the title of Miss Blossomtime. She graduated from Oakland University, with a BA in Dance Performance in 2009.
Brittney’s Credits Include: Dancer for NBA Detroit Pistons “Automotion” Dance Team; Deeply Rooted Dance Theater II Company, Chicago IL; Summer Intensive Rehearsal Director for Deeply Rooted Dance Theater; Robert Morris University Assistant Dance Team Coach and Dance Guild Director; Actress in “Great Controversy” Web Series; Lead Vocalist/Dancer for Girl Group FEME’s China Tour; Carol’s Daughter Hair Model; and MAC Cosmetics Events Dancer.
Brittney began dancing because the music and movement provide freedom for her artistic voice to be heard. Dance has always allowed her to express herself in comfortable and exciting way. Finding inspiration from New York City and a home at Bloc NYC has allowed Brittney to continue to grow as a dancer and pursue her dreams.
