Brittany Conigatti

I was born and raised in Staten Island, New York.

I started dancing at a young age at my local dance studio. I was a part of their competition dance company at the age of 8, and took part in various dance conventions with them. Later, I began performing in musical theatre in local productions, where I quickly learned that the worlds of dance and theatre go hand in hand!

I began training at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts ("The FAME School"). While there, I was trained in ballet, Graham, Horton, tap, jazz, theatre dance, and pointe. I also spent my summer's on full scholarships at Paul Taylor, Joffrey, and NYCDA furthering my training. This past year, I graduated from the AMDA (American Musical and Dramatic Academy) as a Musical Theatre major. My experiences at AMDA allowed me to sharpen my skills in voice, acting, musical theatre and speech.

Besides performing, I have a love for sports, spending time with family and friends, traveling, taking class, and teaching my little dancers.

I booked my first big professional job when I was 17 and a senior in high school! It was such an exciting time when I received the call that I'd be in Disney's High School Musical at the Paper Mill Playhouse as a cheerleader. The play was directed and choreographed my Mark Hoebee and Denis Jones. I went to the open call for non-equity, where I danced and sang for them various times before a final callback. I was the youngest full-time ensemble member in the cast of 30.

People who have influenced my career are Lorna Ventura, Andy Blankenbuheler, Denis Jones, Jerry Mitchell, Luis Salgado, Marcos Santana, Sandy Faison, Michelle Mathesius, Johnny Maestro, and my mom Michele.

My favorite movie is Signing in the Rain.

One of my favorite sayings include, "If you see it and believe it, it will happen!" A more recent favorite saying is, "If you choose to follow the path of your dreams, commit yourself to it. Accept your path and dare to go beyond!"
