Andrew Solis

Born and raised in Queens, New York, Andrew Solis was first introduced into the Hip- Hop and Urban Dance scene in 2012 when he joined PUSO Modern at Stony Brook University where he served as a choreographer and director for 4 years. With the team he competed and performed in shows in Boston, New Jersey, and New York winning several awards and recognitions. After graduating college, Andrew currently trains diligently in studios throughout the Tri-State area such as Exile Professional Gym NY by LDH, Broadway Dance Center, and Peridance Capezio Center. He also attended several intensives and conventions such as Monsters, REVEAL Dance and others within the NY Community winning awards and recognitions for his dance. Upon graduating from college, Andrew also earned a BS in Nursing and currently practices as a Registered Nurse along pursuing his dream of becoming a commercial dancer. Andrew believes in building a strong foundation in the dance styles that he performs and is strongly influenced by originators of Hip Hop,House, and Choreography as well as from individuals in the current generation pushing the artform forward. He holds the values of “Purpose, Patience, and Perseverance” to motivate him in his pursuit of a career and life.
