Victor Sho. was born in Lagos, Nigeria and was raised in the Bronx since the age of two. As a young man, Victor wanted to become an Orthopedic Surgeon. During his course of study, he took on hip hop dancing as a hobby, and modeled to help pay his way through college. Victor successfully attained a degree in Pre-medical Biology, but his original aspiration of becoming a surgeon changed when he decided to make a career in the entertainment industry. His then hobby, turned into a real life career that developed passion for other areas of the arts, primarily in acting.
Although Victor wanted to focus on acting, he capitalized on opportunities that presented themselves with choreography and dance. As a choreographer, Victor has worked in a wide variety of areas in the industry such as: TV, commercials, industrial, music videos and tours. His work with The P.L.A.Y.E.R.S. Step Dance Company has been featured on Americas Got Talent and BET’s 106 & Park. He has also worked on industrials for Cole Haan, L’Oreal Matrix, AT&T, and US Bank. In addition Victor has choreographed for commercials and music videos for the VMA’s/Orbit Gum, Chrisette Michelle, Wale, Juelz Santana, and Wizkid.
Victor's talents as a dancer has led him to perform in commercials and industrials for Old Navy, Bloomingdales, Crest, Samsung, Target, Moncler, Tommy Hilfiger, and Hermes to name the few. He has worked with artist such as Madonna, Nikki Minaj, MIA, Kieza, Rihanna. Some of the tours he has danced on are Alicia Keys, Keys in A Minor tour and Crystal Water's World Tour. Victor has performed on “Good Morning America” and Jimmy Fallon with Alicia Keys. Additional TV appearances include: “Last Weekwith John Oliver”, “The Late Show” with Jack Black, Comedy Central with Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, and Jon Stewart. He has also been featured Night Live as a principle dancer in skits with Bruce Willis, Maya Rudolph, Jason Segel, Kristen Wiig, and Jim Carey.
Victor has over 13 years of experience in the world of entertainment and fashion. Dance has been a significant factor in his life and will continue to be primarily through choreography, however Victor’s main focus is acting. He has spent the last 5 years training and gaining experience through the work he has landed. As an actor, Victor trained for 2 years at William Esper, studying the Meisner technique under acclaimed teacher Terry Knickerbocker. Prior to that, he trained with Seth Barrish and Lee Brock at the Barrow Group. With the desire to sharpen his acting talents in front of the camera, Victor decided to go back to school for another year and studied TV and Film acting under Alberto Bonilla at Terry Knickerbocker Studios. He has been cast in two pilots, a comedy called: “The Restaurant Show” and “Spawn” as Spawn himself. He has also been cast in two web series titled: “Room For 3” and “Ordinary People”. Victor can be seen in the films: “Broke”, “Moral Injury”, “Caught Up”, and “Gurl Talk” (which was recently excepted into several film festivals). Victor has done commercials for Lens Crafters, Amazon Kindle, and VH1's "All about Pep" (promo commercial for Peppa from Salt & Peppa). He has worked on a commercial with Academy Award winning director Martin Scorsese for Chanel, and can also be seen in Lonely Island and Michael Bolton's Jack Sparrow music video. Victor’s experience with acting is not limited to TV and film, as he was also cast in the original off broadway production of Talent 101” and “50 Shades” the musical which he later did an international tour.
Victor’s recent work can be seen in TV Shows like the Netflix Original Series called, “The Get Down”, “Vinyl” directed by Martin Scorsese, and the final season of “Girls”. As a client of Bloc Talent Agency’s TV/Film and Choreography division he knows the sky is not even the limit. Victor uses his faith in God as a driving force in his life and career inspiring his motto "I ride on optimism."
