Richard J. Hinds

Richard J. Hinds, a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy, is the Associate Choreographer for the Broadway production of COME FROM AWAY. Other Broadway/Off-Broadway credits include Disney’s NEWSIES! (Associate Director), JEKYLL AND HYDE (Associate Director/Choreographer), IL DIVO - A MUSICAL AFFAIR (Assistant Director), HERE LIES LOVE (Associate Director/Choreographer). His regional credits include La Jolla Playhouse, The Old Globe, Paper Mill Playhouse, Ford’s Theatre, Deaf West, Seattle Repertory Theatre, 5th Avenue Theatre, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival, Flat Rock Playhouse, Ogunquit Playhouse, Gateway Playhouse, New Theatre and Capital Repertory Theatre.

Richard’s television credits include BRING IT, THE BETHENNY SHOW, MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE, AMERICA’S GOT TALENT, GOOD AFTERNOON AMERICA (featuring Liza Minnelli) and national commercials for MACY’S. He has directed and choreographed industrials for companies such as RWS, SAMSUNG, SEPHORA, GENERAL MOTORS, STONEWALL COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, SP RICHARDS, COVENANT HOUSE and HERSHEY PARK.

He has served as the Associate on 9 TO 5 (National/International Tours), Disney’s HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL (National/International Tours), UP HERE (La Jolla Playhouse), THE LAST GOODBYE (The Old Globe), PIPPIN  (CTG and Deaf West), A WONDERFUL LIFE (Paper Mill Playhouse), ROCKERS ON BROADWAY (B.B. King’s), BROADWAY UNDER THE STARS (NYC & Company), the Off-Broadway production of FRANKENSTEIN (37 ARTS) and the DRAMA DESK AWARDS.
